Hawks place interesting players on waivers
Huge news for a couple of budding prospects!
HockeyFeed
The Chicago Blackhawks placed a few players on waivers today.
Tomas Jurco's name is interesting on this list. Acquired last season around the trade deadline for a third round pick, the forward was outplayed by two young prospects in camp.
Alex DeBrincat, the perrenial 100+ point scorer in the OHL, cemented himself a spot on the team, and so did fellow prospect John Hayden, who impressed in camp this year.
These moves will certainly help with Chicago's cap situation, as they are currently above the $75 million cap ceiling.
Jurco managed a single goal in 29 games split between the Hawks and Detroit Red Wings last season.
