In what was one of the most exciting games of the Stanley Cup Playoffs thus far, the St. Louis Blues were able to stave off elimination last night agains the Colorado Avalanche and force a Game 6 back at Enterprise Center tomorrow.

It was veteran forward Tyler Bozak with the game-winning goal shortly into overtime that gave the Blues another chance at life, after they'd already mounted a comeback from 0-3 and 4-3 deficits, the latter of which was scored by Robert Thomas with just under a minute remaining in regulation.

The series now shifts back to St. Louis, where the Blues will continue to be shorthanded. According to head coach Craig Berube, veteran defenseman Torey Krug won't be available for Game 6 or a potential Game 7.

Krug was injured during Game 3 of the Blues 1st round series against the Minnesota Wild; he hasn't played since. The 31 year-old defenseman scored nine goals with 34 assists in 64 regular season games during the 2021-22 season.
