For the second time this season, the Winnipeg Jets will be without the services of head coach Rick Bowness.
Just minutes ago, the organization tweeted that he will be unavailable for the foreseeable future due to having undergone "a minor medical procedure", and has returned to Winnipeg for recovery; associate coach Scott Arniel will handle head coaching duties on an interim basis.
Bowness will almost certainly be a candidate for the Jack Adams Trophy as the National Hockey League's coach of the year, as he's guided the Jets to an impressive of 43-19-5 that has them currently tied for top spot in the Central Division standings alongside the Colorado Avalanche at 91 points apiece.
Right now, there's no word on a potential timeline for him to be back behind the Jets bench. We wish him the best in recovery for whatever his ailment is, and hope to see him back in his position soon.
