Boston Bruins fan makes unbelievable discovery that almost seems too crazy to be true.
If you're a fan of the Boston Bruins that is already heartbroken over the trade involving former Bruins captain Brad Marchand, you may want to turn away now before it's too late. If you're a sucker for punishment however, or just enjoy a good laugh, you may want to keep reading.
Over the weekend a diehard Boston Bruins fan who goes by '@BigBadBsMemes' on social platform X made a frankly unbelievable discovery as it pertains to the trade of the aforementioned Brad Marchand.
It all began with the user sending out a post on X that claimed the city of Boston had been drowned in metaphorical tears every weekend since the trade had taken place.
"It’s rained every weekend since they traded Brad Marchand btw," he wrote.
It was a hilarious comment to make but I didn't think anything more of it given that it seemed extremely unlikely to be true, that is until '@BigBadBsMemes' doubled down on his claim and came back with some facts to support it.
First he showed a screenshot with sources from NBC Boston suggesting that his claim was indeed true.
He then asked google how far back "13 weeks ago" really was, with the platform letting him know that March 15th was the day he was looking for, with Marchand being traded almost exactly one week prior on March 7th of 2025.
It is hard to believe given that we are now in June, 3 months later, but it seems that it is indeed true. The city of Boston has been crying, metaphorically speaking, over the loss of their captain every single weekend during his run to the Stanley Cup Final, a run that will end this week one way or another.
I wonder if the rain will stop when his run comes to an end.
