Henrik Sedin passes NHL legend on all time scoring list.

The Vancouver Canucks are not having a good time this season, but on Thursday night forward Henrik Sedin achieved an incredible individual accomplishment.

Sedin, who likely wouldn't any attention for an individual accomplishment, passed one of the National Hockey League's greatest legends, the late, great, Maurice "The Rocket" Richard, formerly of the Montreal Canadiens, on the NHL's all time scoring list.

Henrik earned himself an assist on a first period goal scored by brother Daniel Sedin, and it earned him the 996th point of his NHL career, one better than Richard's 995, although Richard did it with nearly 200 fewer games played.

In typical Henrik fashion he was not interested in discussing the individual achievement, and instead focused on the fact that the Canucks had played well for the first time in several games despite the loss.

"It's tough to lose, but it was one of the best games we played in a while," said Henrik as per the Canucks.
