Canada has won the last two Olympic gold medals in 2010 and 2014 that featured NHL talent. They were held to bronze in 2018 and finished off the podium in the most recent Winter Games in 2022. The NHL went to five straight Olympics from 1998 through 2014 before skipping the 2018 event. COVID-19 then squashed plans in 2022, but hockey’s best are finally set for a return to the world stage.
The Olympics begin on Feb. 6 and the men’s hockey gold-medal game will take place on Feb. 22.
