Hockey Canada hiring new full-time GM in a desperate move
C'mon now... nothing changes with Hockey Canada until they're all wiped out.
According to a report from TSN hockey insider Chris Johnston, Hockey Canada is hiring a full-time general manager and a vice president of hockey operations to run their Program of Excellence and World Junior team.
Yeah... that oughta fix your problems... another suit in an executive role...
In all seriousness, Hockey Canada is so far up their own asses there's no way they could identify their core issues. This is an organization that has shown time and time again that they lack the ability to govern themselves. They make poor decisions on the ice and off the ice, but nowhere is their negligence more clear than in their executive leadership. Until they clean house and start from scratch, I don't see any real changes coming from Hockey Canada. They can trumpet a new hire and talk about a new era, but until they completely turn over their staff I just won't buy it.
