Huberdeau pledges his brain to medical science to further CTE research
A classy move from the Flames forward.
HockeyFeed
Jonathan Huberdeau has certainly made some headlines this offseason, but today's headline is a departure for the Calgary Flames forward.
Huberdeau, of course, has been at the forefront of NHL news this offseason after heading to Calgary in a blockbuster trade with the Florida Panthers, then he made news by re-upping with the Flames on a massive eight year contract. Today though, Huberdeau is in the news for pledging to donate his brain to researchers after he dies, in an effort to help further CTE research.
A classy move that I wish we'd see from more NHLers. Only he and former defenseman Ben Lovejoy have committed to the pledge thus far.
