Huberdeau scores his first as a Flame... sort of.

The Calgary Flames are already cashing in earlier on their new superstar.

The Flames faced off against a Canadian rival in the Vancouver Canucks on Sunday and it was during the course of that matchup that Jonathan Huberdeau gave the Flames fan base their first taste of what they can expect in the future.-

The game had remained scoreless up until the second period, but with the Flames earning themselves a 2 man advantage it was only a matter of time before they took advantage. It would be their newly minted centerman who would capitalize on the opportunity, banging the puck home from in front of the net.

Of course this is the preseason so this won't officially count as his first goal with the Flames, but it is no doubt a moment that everyone in attendance will remember for a long time.
