The Vegas Golden Knights officially opened their 2023-24 training camp today, but conspicuously absent from the team's camp roster is/was veteran goaltender Robin Lehner.

Lehner, of course, missed the entire 2022-23 season due to a hip injury, but the Golden Knights seemed just fine carrying on without him. Adin Hill, who started the season as the team's 3rd string goalie, rose through the ranks to become the team's uncontested starter through the playoffs and ultimately led the team to its first Stanley Cup championship.

With today's news, it looks like Lehner is still out of the mix in Vegas and the team will head into its championship defending season with Hill and Logan Thompson as its two NHL netminders. Lehner, it appears, will remain on the long-term injury reserve.
