The Detroit Red Wings have already played the majority of the 2022-23 season without top forward Tyler Bertuzzi, and after a short return to action, he's once again right back on the shelf with the exact same ailment.
Bertuzzi blocked a shot accidentally from teammate Ben Chiarot on Wednesday night at Little Caesars Arena against the Buffalo Sabres, and immediately left the ice while smashing his stick against the boards in frustration.
Earlier today, the team announced the Bertuzzi has undergone successful surgery and will be absent fo the next six weeks.
