Huge update on David Pastrnak from insider Darren Dreger.
Keystone Press

TSN Insider Darren Dreger has just provided a significant update on the ongoing negotiations between the Boston Bruins and David Pastrnak, and unfortunately for fans in Boston it sounds like it's mostly bad news.

First the good news, while Dreger clearly stated that he had no hard evidence for this, he believes that something may get done tonight between Pastrnak and the Bruins, if that is indeed the case Boston will have dodged a major bullet.

The bad news however is that according to Dreger Pastrnak remains in the Czech Republic, and furthermore he indicated that Pastrnak has no intention of coming to North America unless a deal is signed with the Bruins.

Dreger also indicated that Pastrnak could soon begin skating with another team, and considering the multiple offers he reportedly has from the Kontinental Hockey League, and the fact that signing with the KHL would allow him to play in the Olympics, that could be very bad news for the Bruins indeed, especially if this drags out any longer.

We will be keeping you up to date with all the details of this ongoing contract battle.
