In case you missed it, the Carolina Hurricanes officially announced yesterday that they intend to match the Montreal Canadiens’ offer sheet on unsigned restricted free agent Sebastian Aho. The 21 year old Aho signed a five year deal with the Habs on the opening day of free agency that comes with an annual cap hit of $8.454 million.

A day later and Hurricanes owner Tom Dundon has made it clear that he’s not exactly thrilled with the way that the process has played out, specifically when it comes to the tactics employed by Aho and his representation. Check out some of these quotes from the always outspoken Dundon regarding Aho’s agent Gerry Johanson:

Hmmm… sour grapes?

To be fair, now that Aho is signed for five years, neither Dundon nor ‘Canes GM Don Waddell need to hear from Johanson for awhile. After receiving his cut of Aho’s $43 million deal though, we’re guessing Johanson isn’t too worried about what Dundon thinks of him.
