Hurricanes taunt Rangers one last time before first round!

During the qualifying round, the New York fell 4-1 at the hands of the Carolina Hurricanes, who swept the best of five qualifying series in just three games, moving on to the first official round of the postseason, where they will face the Boston Bruins.

Last week, as they were the first team to move on, the Canes had a lot of spare time and mocked the Rangers even after their elimination. As the two other possible games between the teams have been cancelled following New York’s elimination, the Hurricanes posted the cancellation announcement with the comment: bummer. The pill has already been hard to swallow for all Rangers fans, but that didn’t help.

On Monday, the Hurricanes decided to have one more shot at the Rangers. The Blue Shirts ended up winning the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NHL Draft in the second phase of the Draft lottery.

The Canes believe the Rangers should thank them for it, seeing that they have earned the chance to draft likely first-overall pick Alexis Lafreniere, the Rimouski Oceanic phenomenon who recently became the only player aside from Sidney Crosby to nab back-to-back QMJHL MVP honours.

There is no stopping these Jerks. Will the Bruins be able to?
