ICYMI: Leafs part ways with two long time staffers
Toronto Maple Leafs

According to a report from Toronto Maple Leafs insider David Alter, the team has moved on from Sr. Director, Player Evaluation Jim Paliafito and Hockey Research and Development Analyst Cam Charron.

Check it out:

While there's no confirmation of the moves that these two men were behind, there's anecdotal evidence that the pair were vocal, either together or independently, in the team's drafting of failed prospect Frederik Gauthier, the acquisition of forward Alex Kerfoot and the Wayne Simmonds, Jake Muzzin and Petr Mrazek signings. Again, unconfirmed but if these men were indeed pushing for these moves it's easy to see why the team has moved on from them.
