Ilya Lyubushkin has been injured in his first game back with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

This is the last thing the Toronto Maple Leafs wanted to see on Saturday night.

It appears as though recently acquired defenseman Ilya Lyubushkin has been injured in his first game since being traded back to the Maple Leafs earlier this week.

Lyubushkin appears to have been injured when he was on the receiving end of a huge hit from New York Rangers enforcer Matt Rempe during the final minutes of the game's second period. The hit appeared to catch Lyubushkin up high and that in turned resulted in his head being pinned between Rempe's body and the boards.

Lyubushkin was shaken up on the play but it was when he got to the bench that he really showed the ill-effects of the hit, putting his head down and clutching at his head in pain.

There has been no official announcement regarding an injury as of yet, but Lyubushkin has not come out for the third period.
