Ilya Samsonov gets busted posting from his 'burner account' on social media

We've got some juicy offseason drama brewing on social media.

Former Toronto Maple Leafs netminder, who recently signed a one year deal with the Vegas Golden Knights, is catching some heat online today after he made comments on an NHL Network Instagram post. The post named Ottawa Senators goaltender Linus Ullmark as the NHL's #10 goaltender to which Samsonov commented, 'November 21, keep your ass shut or are you injured again?' It appears that Samsonov meant to post the comment from an anonymous account, but failed to log out of his main account.

I'll be honest... I lose track of all the social media ins and outs, dos and don'ts... so here's a better explanation of what's going on and what the drama's all about:

Again, if you're wondering what prompted all this... Ullmark himself made some remarks earlier this offseason about Samsonov and his poor performance with the Leafs during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Samsonov apparently took this to heart and now he's got a rivalry brewing with Ullmark. It should be noted that Ullmark is viewed as one of the nicest guys in the entire NHL. So... I'm not sure that's the guy you want to pick fights with there, Sammy.

Nevertheless, at least we've got some goalie drama in the dregs off the NHL offseason!
