Incredible moment for Leafs D Mark Giordano
Way to announce your return to the lineup!
HockeyFeed
Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Mark Giordano made his return to the lineup tonight for the first time since suffering a concussion on February 29, nearly one full month ago.
And he announced his presence in a major way, becoming the 2nd oldest Leafs defenseman in franchise history at 40 years and 177 days to light the lamp. But the best part of Giordano's goal was that it was his first since the unfortunate passing of his father Paul.
And in a touching tribute to his late father, Giordano immediately pointed toward the sky:
Giordano is one of the NHL's elder statesmen, and is presumably playing in his final season.
