Zac Rinaldo must be feeling salty after being placed on waivers, and decided to release his frustration in the form of an illegal check to his opponents head.

The Boston Bruins' forward, who was placed on waivers by the team on Sunday, managed to injure yet another player with his reckless style of play.

During Sunday's game between the Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning, Rinaldo was penalized for a vicious hit to the head of Lightning forward Cedric Paquette.

Paquette goes down in a heap and is clearly dazed by the impact of Rinaldo's shoulder hitting him square on the jaw. He managed to make his way to the tunnel and left the game for the locker room.

Rinaldo was assessed a minor for an illegal check to the head on the play, but it probably should have been a stiffer penalty.

Rinaldo not only injured Paquette, he wound up hurting his team, as the Lightning scored on the ensuing power-play.

This is typical of Rinaldo, who has become infamous for injuring multiple players with dangerous hits in his career. This may be the last game we see Rinaldo in for some time, but for him to try and take out a player because of that fact, well that's Matt Cooke territory.

The fact that some teams might find his style of play a 'game changer', points to a kind of desperation you could smell a mile away.

Go away Zac, Providence is calling.
