Injuries may force Sens to make a move.

Sens suffer two loses over the weekend.

Although much of the talk coming into Saturday's 'Battle of Ontario' between the Ottawa Senators and the Toronto Maple Leafs was on the topic of an injury to Maple Leafs goaltender Matt Murray, coming out of that game the Senators were stuck dealing with an injury of their own.

With only 7 minutes remaining in the game's third period, Senators' veteran defenseman Nikita Zaitsev would retreat to the locker room and would not return. Although the Senators have not yet provided an official update on Zaitsev's status, it would appear that he suffered some type of injury during the game's final frame.

The Ottawa Senators will hold a morning skate on Monday morning and we will likely get more answers regarding Zaitsev's status from head coach DJ Smith at that time.

If the Senators are forced to make a call up to fill in for the injured Zaitsev,Senators insider Bruce Garrioch recently named 3 players he believes could fill that spot in Jacob Bernard-Docker, Lassi Thomson or Jacob Larsson.
