According to a report from Jeff Paterson of TSN 1040, Vancouver Canucks defencemen Chris Tanev and Troy Stecher both practiced with the team yesterday in Philadelphia, in advance of tonight’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

While there’s still no indication of whether or not Tanev and Stecher will be in the team’s lineup this road trip, it does create a bit of a logjam on the defence for the club moving forward. With newcomer Derrick Pouliot playing well, and regulars Alex Edler, Erik Gudbranson, Michael Del Zotto and Ben Hutton gumming up the works, something’s got to give. It’s likely that Alex Biega will be scratched from the team’s lineup, but who will be the other blue liner in the press box?

Could that rumored Gudbranson trade happen sooner rather than later?
