Injury Report: Patrick and Gostisbehere update
Finally some good news for the Flyers’ youngsters
HockeyFeed
Finally! Some good news for Philadelphia Flyers fans. Rookie Nolan Patrick and star defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere took to the ice this morning ahead of team practice in Vorhees, New Jersey. This, according to a report from Dave Isaac of USA Today:
Patrick has been out of the lineup since taking a head shot in a game last week against the Anaheim Ducks, while Gostisbehere has been out since taking a brutal hit from behind from Toronto Maple Leafs forward Leo Komarov this weekend.
The predatory hit went unpenalized and apparently didn’t warrant supplementary discipline from the NHL. Yeah…. try figuring that one out…
Regardless, Flyers fans have to be encouraged with this latest news. Hopefully the two youngsters can get back to full health and find their way back into the team’s lineup in short order.
