Just when you thought things were getting better, THIS happens.
The Boston Bruins have been fighting the injury bug hard early in the 2017-18 season.
They were without Patrice Bergeron and David Backes - but got them back Thursday night against the Vancouver Canucks. This, after Tuukka Rask and Ryan Spooner were announced to be out potentially for the long-term.
Bergeron's return was spectacular - he scored 4 points in his return, his 900th career regular season NHL game.
The 6-3 win over the Canucks was cause for celebration - but the mood was dampened by the loss of two more important players during the game.
David Krejci suffered an upper-body injury after scoring a power play goal. Adam McQuaid took a hard shot to the knee and also left the game in pain.
Both their statuses will be updated shortly. Frank Vatrano took a malicious hit from Erik Gudbranson and left the game for a period of time, but fortunately he made it back, at least.
Bad news, Bears.
