This morning, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reported that top six center Derick Brassard was a full participant in practice today.
This can only be good news for the Ottawa Senators seeing as Brassard wasn’t expected to be ready for opening night. There’s no telling if he will dress for the season opener quite yet, but this is a very encouraging sign that he will.
The former 6th overall pick had a down year last season offensively, posting 14 goals and 25 assists, but did manage 11 points in 19 playoff games.
In other news, star defenseman Erik Karlsson is still wearing a no-contact jersey at practice.
