Injury update leaves Flyers with “massive hole” in lineup.
Head coach John Tortorella confirmed that the Flyers will have a “massive hole” in their lineup on Saturday.
The Philadelphia Flyers will have a "massive hole" in their lineup on Saturday according to Flyers head coach John Tortorella, and some reports suggest that may even extend beyond today's game.
Tortorella has officially confirmed that Flyers star forward Travis Konecny will not be in the lineup for today's game against the New York Rangers, with Konecny reportedly sidelined with an upper body injury.
Flyers general manager Daniel Briere is calling this a minor injury and expects Konecny to be out on a day to day basis.
Although Briere has attempted to paint this as a relatively minor injury, some sources are reporting that Konecny has already been ruled out for Sunday's game against intrastate rivals the Pittsburgh Penguins as well.
