Insider: Habs rookie “will be destroyed by the end of October.”
Shocking prediction from NHL analyst.
HockeyFeed
A National Hockey League analyst has made a very bold and rather negative prediction about the future of an NHL rookie.
Monday during a radio segment on TSN's 690 radio in Montreal, NHL anaylst Pierre McGuire revealed that he seemingly has absolutely no faith in 19-year-old Montreal Canadiens defenseman Victor Mete.
McGuire's comments during the segment indicated that not only did he feel Mete would be incapable of hanging with the top players in the league, but that he also felt Mete would get demolished in the attempt.
"Mete will be destroyed by the end of October," said Mcguire.
While we seriously doubt that anything McGuire says will have any impact on the decisions made by head coach Claude Julien and general manager Marc Bergevin, with such an inflammatory prediction on the table it will be interesting to see where things are come the end of October.
