Insider hints a trade between two Canadian teams could happen soon!

With already a quarter of the season gone by, the Montreal Canadiens and Edmonton Oilers need to act quick if they want to right their respective ship and dug themselves out of their hole.

With all the NHL GM's in Montreal during the last weekend, insider Pierre McGuire suggested on his segment on TSN 690 that he wouldn't be surprised if both Marc Bergevin and Peter Chiarelli discussed a transaction.

According to McGuire, both teams have what the other need. While Ryan Nugent-Hopkins would fill a giant hole in Montreal down the middle, speedy forward Paul Byron would be exactly what's needed in Edmonton to fill their lack of speed on the wings.

Now, for that transaction to go through, Montreal would most likely have to add some stuff on their side but there could be the base of a deal right there.
