“GM Steve Staios has been aggressive in his pursuit of defence...”
According to a report from Ottawa Senators insider Bruce Garrioch, the team is expected to make a trade to acquire a defenseman as soon as possible.
With blueliner Artem Zub going down long-term with injury this weekend, GM Steve Staios has been "aggressive in his pursuit of depth on defence," reports Garrioch.
From Garrioch's latest column for The Ottawa Sun:

The Sens have been leaning hard on Jake Sanderson, Thomas Chabot, Nick Jensen and Travis Hamonic this season with Tyler Kleven and Jacob Bernard-Docker also logging time on the blue line. Staios traded start defenseman Jakob Chycrun this past offseason.
The Sens are currently on a five game losing streak and are staring down the barrel of another season where they have failed to take a step forward.
