There was a scary moment during Saturday night's clash between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Columbus Blue Jackets, one that resulted in a great deal of panic behind the Blue Jackets bench.

It was Blue Jackets veteran Sean Kuraly who was injured after he was on the receiving end of a hit along the boards only to be struck by a puck to the stomach moments later. It appeared to be the puck to the stomach that did most of the damage however, with Kuraly laboring badly on his way to the Blue Jackets bench.

The response when Kuraly arrived to the bench was immediate panic, with Kuraly reportedly collapsing behind the bench. Paramedics and EMTS were called to the scene as well and Kuraly was eventually transported to Grant Medical Center.

Thankfully in spite of there being a great deal of concern surrounding Kuraly, it sounds like he is going to be ok. Although the Blue Jackets have not shared an update since announcing that Kuraly was headed to hospital, insider Aaron Portzline reports that Kuraly was not admitted to the hospital last night after all tests came back negative.

Portzline did not have an update on when we might see Kuraly next, adding that the Blue Jackets are unlikely to share any official updates until after the holiday break.
