Ryan Pulock the latest in a string of injury woes for the Islanders.
The New York Islanders have suffered yet another injury setback, this time keeping one of their veteran's out for up to a month's worth of action.
On Sunday, the Islanders officially confirmed that veteran defenseman Ryan Pulock is expected to miss the next 2 to 4 weeks as a result of an upper body injury. As per the official report, Pulock suffered the injury during last Thursday's game against the Minnesota Wild.
It's unclear when exactly Pulock was injured, but some have speculated that this sequence where he appears to favor his hand/arm after a harmless looking play along the boards could be responsible.
Pulock is a significant part of what the Islanders do on defense with the former Islanders first round pick averaging over 17 and a half minutes a night of ice time this season. He has appeared in all but 1 of the Islanders games this season and has just a single point on the season thus far, an assist.
The injuries are really starting to mount up for the Islanders who have already lost forwards Mathew Barzal, Calum Ritchie and Matias Maccelli this season and are without defenseman Alexander Romanov and now Ryan Pulock as well.
