No send off for the 34 year old veteran.
According to multiple online reports, the Vancouver Canucks are making veteran forward Evander Kane a healthy scratch for their two final regular season games.
This likely means that Kane has played his last NHL game.
The 34 year old is in the final year of a five year deal that pays him $5.125 million per season. And with the worst offensive totals of his NHL career this past season, it's hard to imagine him getting another contract this upcoming offseason.
If this is indeed the end of the road for Kane, he'll end his NHL career with 339 goals and 684 points in 1001 games split between the Atlanta Thrashers, Winnipeg Jets, Buffalo Sabres, San Jose Sharks, Edmonton Oilers and Canucks.
