It’s time for a new era in Beantown!

The Boston Bruins headed back to the postseason, last spring, but could it be harder to make it this season?

The team is shifting to an older, more experienced roster, but the lack of speed and dynamism will be an issue.

Five of their topscorers, David Backes, Patrice Bergeron, David Krejci, Brad Marchand and Zdeno Chara are 29 years or older. So is their goaltender Tuukka Rask… Their most productive seasons could be history.

Some of the players are like good wine, and get better with age. The top-line of Bergeron, Marchand and Pastrnak was the best in the league last season, based  on shot-based metrics. They will look to outshoot opponents!

The Bruins can also count on David Pastrnak, Ryan Spooner and Torey Krug to overhaul the team. Young talent, like Charlie McAvoy and Frank Vatrano and will also give a breath of fresh air.

Every good thing must come to an end, but the future looks promising in Beantown.
