The Pittsburgh Penguins will once again turn to goaltender Arturs Silovs with their backs against the wall in their first round playoff series against the Philadelphia Flyers.

The Pens, of course, are down 3-1 in the series and need to win the next three games if they're going to continue their season... and it looks like it's on Silovs the rest of the way. In fact, it looks like Silovs will be the team's starting goaltender indefinitely.

That's because there are multiple online reports indicating that the Penguins are done with starting goaltender and pending free agent Stuart Skinner. Earlier today NHL insider David Pagnotta reported that, he'd "be shocked if Skinner's back next season."

Skinner has played in 27 games with the Pens since a blockbuster mid-season swap for Tristan Jarry. Despite a strong start in Pittsburgh, Skinner has cooled off and actually has poorer statistics in Pittsburgh than he had in Edmonton.

His three year, $2.6M annual contract expires this upcoming offseason.

Any takers?
