Jack Edwards called out for being “drunk out of his mind” on air
The Bruins broadcaster is facing accusations of being intoxicated while calling the game last night.

Longtime NESN broadcaster Jack Edwards was trending against on Tuesday as the Boston Bruins took on the Florida Panthers, and you know it is never for good reasons.
Despite recently explaining medical state and how doctors do not have an explanation for his suddenly slurred speech, Edwards has remained on the microphone for NESN and has faced backlash for his slower incoherent speech pattern compared to his bombastic style in the past. On Tuesday night, he faced accusations of being drunk on the air as fans started posting comments and questions on him being intoxicated during the broadcast on X, formerly known as Twitter:
Despite the ongoing evaluation of his health status and fans getting more and more upset with his work on the air, Edwards has said he has no plan to retire early due to his ongoing speech issues and says he’s treating it like an in-season injury that he plans on recovering from.
However, some fans are adamant he needs to recover from some sort of alcohol abuse, and I feel like comments like this will not quiet down before the 2023-24 season comes to an end….
Unless something is done directly from his employer, Edwards has no plan to call it quits. Which means we will see him trending and people calling for NESN to force his retirement until the end of the season. And maybe more.
