Ok... even Blueshirts fans have to admit that this is hilarious.
The lowly New York Rangers are in Orange County this evening to take on the Anaheim Ducks in a game that will surely have Ducks players Jacob Trouba and Chris Kreider putting money on the board.
Trouba and Kreider, of course, were long-time Rangers veterans before being shipped out to Anaheim after months of tense drama between the team and the two players. It's no secret that New York fans and media had a complicated relationship with Trouba in particular and today Trouba took a bit of a passive-aggressive jab at the media who cover his former team.
Earlier today, while the Rangers' media team was assembled outside the Ducks' dressing room for pre-game interviews Trouba himself made a point of playing 'circus music' loudly over his team's stereo.
The implication?
That the Rangers media are clowns and the entire Rangers organization is/was a circus.
Um… there’s circus music coming out of the Ducks locker room this morning? 😅#FlyTogether

I’ve been told this was Jacob Trouba’s doing 😂

Rangers media happened to be waiting outside the locker room at that moment, and I’m totally sure it wasn’t related at all, right?#FlyTogether https://t.co/XFIO8tmw1K
Say what you will about Trouba and his team in NYC, but even the most diehard Rangers fan has to admit that it's pretty funny.
