In case you missed it earlier this week, the Pittsburgh Penguins rocked their 90s retro uniforms this weekend featuring the infamous "Robo Penguin" logo.

Just an absolute thing of beauty to this 90s child. While I was born in the early/mid 1980s, I followed the NHL the closest in the 90s and the Mario Lemieux and Jaromir Jagr led Penguins were the first real powerhouse franchise that I witnessed. Sure, I knew Wayne Gretzky and the Edmonton Oilers were a big deal, but being born in 1983 I was too young to realize just how good they really were. Once Mario led the Penguins to back to back Cups though... that's when I REALLY caught on as a hockey crazed youth.

Flash forward 30 years and the classic Robo Penguin is still as glorious as ever.

Oh, and if you caught the Pens rocking the throwback then you no doubt saw forward Jason Zucker do his best Jagr impression with a salute after scoring:

Impressive stuff to me... but you know who wasn't impressed? Jagr himself.

Check out Jags, fully decked out in Robo Penguin attire, complimenting the team on its new/old look, but also throwing a chirp to Zucker for not having a hard enough shot:

What. An. Absolute. Beauty!
