Jagr sounds utterly defeated, calls out Kladno fans in public
It sounds to me like the 49 year old has had enough. Is this finally the end?

In case you weren't aware, future Hockey Hall of Famer and all around legend of the sport Jaromir Jagr has been continuing his 30+ year pro career with his hometown Kladno Knights of the Czech Extraliga. The 49 year old Jagr has an impressive six goals and 13 points in 17 games, yet the team has still struggled with a 5-15-0 record to start the season.
Evidently Kladno fans aren't happy about the team's record, as Jagr himself had to post a message to his social media in order to calm the rabble. Fans had been commenting on the team's social media accounts, calling for trades, calling for firings... basically just calling for blood.
Here's Jagr's response:
I am sad when I read some of your opinions. I understand that you want the team to win, so do I. We have been playing on road for the whole time, the team was put together when most of the free agents signed elsewhere. Eight guys are injured, two others have came back after a month.
Sometimes the fate is not on our side, but I keep fighting and will continue as long as possible. Not for me, but for Kladno.
When I read the comments of some fans (like how so many things suck) I sometimes tell myself if I shouldn’t have given up a long time ago [so] all of us would be at peace. [But] hockey wouldn’t be here [in Kladno], you can bet on that.
Jaromir Jagr
Oh, and did I mention that Jagr is actually the team's owner? He's essentially playing for free as he's paying himself. He is the one man keeping pro hockey alive in Kladno and he's literally giving his blood, sweat and tears for the team every night. Maybe these fans are just spoiled, but if I had a professional team propped up by a living legend in my relatively small hometown (Kladno's population is approximately 70,000) I'd be showering that man with praise from the moment I rise until the moment I sleep. I obviously don't know the situation in Kladno, but I feel like these fans won't know what they've got until it's gone. Stay strong, Jags! We NEED you in this game!
