Forward James Neal made quite the return from injury, Friday night, scoring the two goals that led to the Vegas Golden Knights' first franchise victory on their inaugural game, against the Dallas Stars.
And we now know why Neal was so motivated to score as his team was behind by a point. Vegas netminder Marc Andre Fleury revealed to the media after the game, that Neal came to see him and made his a promise that he would score after the first two periods.
"James can to see me and said he would score one, yes, he told me he would score one," said "Flower" to RDS with a grin.
Fleury stopped 45 shots in the Knights' win and Neal wanted nothing more than to respect his promise.
And he sure did.
What is more impressive? The promise that was kept or Fleury's performance?
