The word 'legend' gets thrown around a lot these days.

But I think we can all agree that Jaromir Jagr is a living legend.

The guy is an automatic first-ballot Hockey Hall of Famer the moment he retires... but when will that be?

The 53 year old wrapped up last season with his hometown Kladno Knights, of which he is part-owner, with five goals and 16 points in 39 games. Jagr's real value to the Knights though comes through ticket and jersey sales. His on-ice impact is diminishing from season to season, but fans still show up to see him and buy branded merchandise. That's very, very valuable to the Knights and Jagr has even commented in the past that the team's future depends on Jagr's own longevity.

At 53 years old though... is it time?

Nah...

Jagr was seen attending training camp for the Knights this weekend, but it's worth noting that he does not have a contract for the upcoming season.

Of course, it's also worth noting that as the part-owner, Jagr is essentially paying himself. He'd be negotiating a contract with the team's GM, both his boss and his employee... figure that one out.

Personally, I'd love to see Jagr just keep playing until the world ends. Never hang 'em up, 68.
