On Thursday night National Hockey League legend Jaromir Jagr continued his assault on the record books, and now he sits neck and neck with another NHL legend on the league's all-time scoring list.

During the very first period of Florida's game against the Colorado Avalanche Jagr was part of a passing play that set up defenseman Erik Gudbranson with a wide open net, and allowed him to score typing the game at one a piece.

However the goal was relatively insignificant on this play, as the assist earned Jagr his 1,850th career point, tying him for third all time with none other than Mr. Hockey himself Gordie Howe. The incredible thing is he's not done yet.
