Forward Jesse Puljujarvi is still in Edmonton. Despite being traded by the Oilers to the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday, the Finnish forward is having visa issues, according to TSN’s Ryan Rishaug.
Puljujarvi was caught skating on his own in Edmonton on Friday and the footage was trending.
However, Puljujarvi has an appointment Monday to sort out his visa problems and is expected to join the Hurricanes in Montreal on Tuesday.
Puljujarvi’s tenure with the Oilers wasn’t a simple one from the start and it looks like it will be complicated until the very end.
The young forward concludes his time in Edmonton having recorded112 points in 317 NHL games, the second-lowest total of any forward drafted in the top 10 of the 2016 draft.
