Amid all the moving and shifting in the National Hockey League over the last two days the Jets have quietly secured some depth in goal by locking up one of their restricted free agents.

According to an official announcement from the Winnipeg Jets official website, the team has re-signed goaltender Michael Hutchison for two more seasons.

The Winnipeg Jets announced today they have agreed to terms with restricted free agent goaltender Michael Hutchinson on a new two-year contract worth an AAV of $1.150 million per season.

The Jets already have two goaltenders on their depth chart with Ondrej Pavelec and Connor Hellebuyck , making the motivation behind this signing a little unclear at this time.
