Unfortunately for the Jets, they lost in overtime to the Tampa Bay Lightning last night.

Only 36 seconds into the 3 vs 3 session, Tampa's Ondrej Palat scored on Jets' Ondrel Pavelec to close the books.

It was a fast paced game and both teams created their chances. Although it resulted in a loss, the Jets did play a strong game versus a tough opponent. The Lightning's game, one of the best team in the Eastern division, is based around puck possession and counter-attack. The Jets replied well to Tampa Bay's head coach Jon Cooper game plan, with hard hits and strong decision making with the puck.

On a positive note, forward Blake Wheeler has tied a franchise record by registering at least one point in each of the team's first 7 games, recording 9 points during that spawn.

The Jets will receive the Minnesota Wild on Sunday.
