UPDATE: Both Stanley and Schenn have reportedly been traded to the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for Isak Rosén, Jacob Bryson, and a 2nd-round pick.


This just in, the Winnipeg Jets have scratched defensemen Logan Stanley and Luke Schenn from tonight's game vs the Tampa Bay Lightning for "roster management".

Both defensemen are pending unrestricted free agents and with the Jets nowhere near the NHL's playoff picture, it's clear that GM Kevin Cheveldayoff is trying to get some assets back for expiring contracts.
