The Winnipeg Jets might have been brutal towards the Nashville Predators last night, beating them 5-1 as a reminder that they got away with a Game 7 victory in the second round of the playoffs last spring, however, it was one of the Preds' players that pulled the most brutal move of all.

The rivalry intensifies even more on Thursday night when Predators forward Ryan Johansen lumberjack chopped Jets' star forward Mark Sheifele to the side of the head with his stick! The play took place during the first period of the contest, and while Johansen was sent to the box for high-sticking, it is believed that the NHL will get in touch with him and the play will be reviewed by the department of safety.

How many games do you believe Johansen will get from the league for this brutal play? It has to be one of the most dangerous move of the season yet!

UPDATE: It's official. The league will have a hearing today with Johansen for his high-sticking maneuver on Scheifele.
