Great stuff from the Leafs captain.
Toronto Maple Leafs captain John Tavares became the 107th player in NHL history to reach 400 goals earlier this week against the Pittsburgh Penguins:
So, what does he plan on doing with the milestone puck? Will it be given to the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto or perhaps be put on display at Scotiabank Arena? Negative on both fronts. In fact, Tavares announced that he'll be keeping it in the family, quite literally. He'll be giving the puck to his young kids:
“I’m not sure they’ll understand or know what it means yet," he said. "But pretty cool to have.”
He continued:
"My wife tried to explain to them the situation, but I don’t think they clued in yet too much. Hopefully one day they understand. It’s just great to share those types of moments with them."
Great stuff from the Leafs captain!
