Mitch Marner is having an incredible run in the Stanley Cup playoffs in his first season as a member of the Vegas Golden Knights, and now his head coach is calling out those that have been critical of his performances at this time of year in the past.

On Saturday, Golden Knights head coach John Tortorella had some strong words to share when he was asked about Marner's performance in the playoffs thus far.

"You guys don't see the stuff he does," said Tortorella. "All the people here, all the people in Toronto, all the people that talk about this guy, they don't see any of the things that he brings to a game even if he doesn't score. I've known that coaching against him."

Tortorella wasn't done there however, and called out that narrative that has historically suggested Marner fades in the biggest moments.

"That narrative is a bunch of bulls***," said Torella. "Like I said last night Mitch doesn't care. Mitch is a pro, he is a terrific player one of the top players in this league and he players for us."

It is hard to argue with Tortorella's comments at this time given that, coming into Saturday's games, Marner currently leads all players in the scoring in the 2026 Stanley Cup playoffs. Marner has quite frankly been exceptional for Vegas with 6 goals and 7 assists for 13 points in just 9 games played.
