The Lightning head coach was hot!
In case you missed it last night, Tampa Bay Lightning forward Pontus Holmberg was injured last night after colliding face first into an open penalty box gate. A gate that was left afar by the NHL's penalty box official.
Check it out:
After the game, Lightning head coach Jon Cooper was hot and called for the official to be relieved of his job.
Cooper: “I don’t know who was working the penalty box … but I don’t know if they should keep their job after what happened there.”
In fact, Cooper was on a war path and seemed to have something to say about all the officials involved in last night's game.
"Every time you touch somebody it’s a penalty? Come on. Let the teams play," Cooper said. "That’s why everybody filled this building tonight. It sucked the fun out of the game."
In case you were wondering... the Lightning lost. Not sure if that was obvious or not...
