What a pad save!
Toronto Maple Leafs' goaltender Jonathan Bernier finally won a game for the Leafs. The Laval-native was winless in 10 starts with Toronto this season, he was sent down in the AHL for a conditioning stint, where he made 4 starts recording 3 shutouts.
He won his first game last night against his former team with a 26 stops shutout.
Bernier's effort was good, but nothing like the save he made on Marian Gaborik who had an open and a sure goal on his stick when Bernier just extended the pad to rob the Kings' player of a goal.
It was Bernier first win since April 10 2015.
