The legend of Jonathan Quick has grown in a big way this evening.
The veteran National Hockey League goaltender etched his name into the league's record books on Saturday night when he established a new NHL record. Quick and the Rangers were facing the Arizona Coyotes in what proved to be a high scoring affair with the Rangers eventually taking home the victory by a score of 8-5.
That win would prove to be the 392nd win of Quick's NHL career, 370 with the Los Angeles Kings, 5 with the Vegas Golden Knights, and 17 with the New York Rangers, which was good enough to establish a new record for U.S. born goaltenders in the NHL.
The record had previously been held by one of the greatest American players of all time, former NHL goaltender Ryan Miller, but Quick overtook Miller's old record of 391 wins with a victory over the Coyotes.
Quick has already established his legacy in the NHL and will no doubt go down as one of the greatest American born players of all time, but this new record certainly won't hurt.
